Alberto Stievanin questions the fundamental processes that define a discipline. During his studies in architecture and while working as an architect both in a studio as well as in an academic context, he became interested in the interaction and the movement of people within domestic settings. Having moved on to study photography in 2016, Alberto put the photographic medium at the heart of his research, questioning how the very act of taking pictures influences and shapes our contemporary spaces and society. In his practice, he employs various image-creating techniques including photo cameras, scanners, video, mobile phones, and computers.
