Sandrine Marc uses photography as a research tool, a pretext for going outdoors and meeting people. Walking allows her to create the conditions of attention and listening that the practice of landscape photography requires.She captures ‘flashes of reality’, tenuous situations and ephemeral arrangements. Architecture, plants and surface finishes make up a body of work that she nourishes daily. She is interested in the transformation of space, the interstices, the gestures of appropriation and care. To activate her images, she uses a variety of reproduction processes, and her research questions the conditions under which still images are distributed and shared.
Sandrine Marc graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs inParis. Her work has been exhibited at the CAPC-Villa Pérochon in Niort, Stimultania in Strasbourg, the Centre de Photographie in Lectoure and the Capsule in Le Bourget. Sandrine Marc has been teaching photography and publishing since 2012. Since 2018 she has been teaching at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires Paris-Est.
