Please join us for Tique Salon #10 during the 4th Antwerp Academy Art Book Fair on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

During this anniversary edition of Tique Salon we’ve invited several artists and publishing houses for performances and interventions. Here you can find the list of participants and the events line up.

Tique Salon #6 – Stephanie Kiwitt & Manor Grunewald

During the sixth edition of Tique Salon, the Brussels based artist Stephanie Kiwitt and Ghent based artist Manor Grunewald will give an insight into their practice and the role of publication within. Manor Grunewald major mediums are painting and sculpture. Finding his sources in a wide range of books & magazines, Manor developed an artistic practice focussing on defragmentation of figurative content using processes being linked to printing. Stephanie Kiwitt is using photography to observe public space and reflect on the increasing commercialization of everyday life in our affluent Western society. She will present her work Capital Decor in which she examines advertising strategies of discounters using image and sound. Capital Decor was published by Kodoji Press in 2011 as a leporello fold and a vinyl disc.

Thorsten Baensch, geboren 1964 in Heide / Deutschland lebt seit 1991 in Brüssel. Er ist Künstler und Herausgeber und arbeitete als Buchverkäufer und Produktions Manager in Köln, Hamburg, München und New York. Thorsten Baensch studierte Malerei in Brüssel und Mailand. 1995 gründete er Bartleby & Co. und publiziert Künstlerbücher und Editionen.

Bis dato publizierte Bartleby & Co. mehr als 60 Bücher und Editionen und ist damit in zahlreichen angesehenen Sammlungen vertreten.

Tique Salon #2 – RUIS collective

RUIS ist ein Antwerpener Kollektiv junger (foto)grafisch arbeitender Künstler. Während Tique Salon #3 werden sie über die Entstehung des Kollektives sprechen, dabei aber auch individuelle Arbeiten vorstellen. Neben einer Auswahl von selbst herausgegebenen Büchern werden sie eine Wandinstallation präsentieren, in welcher verschiedene Bilder ihrer Publikationen kombiniert werden.

RUIS sind Eva Donckers, Joke Druyts, Miles Fischler, Sander Adriaens, An Onghena, Tessa Van Thielen, Tille Lingier und Valentina Stellino.
